Nine middle division students honored by Oakland County

Each month during the 2017-2018 school year, Notre Dame’s middle division and the Oakland County Sheriff, Michael J. Bouchard, honors three students from each grade level. Students are honored for their hard work and dedication to the school and to the community.

Bouchard started this program while he was in the state senate as chairman of the education committee. He said it’s a way to recognize young people doing good things.

“It is very important to encourage young people to study hard and explore their potential,” Bouchard said. “This program helps achieve that goal by providing students with one more incentive to excel in their studies.”

The following Notre Dame students were recognized for being top students in their respective grades for last month:

Grade 6:  Macie Krankel, Jeffrey Guo and Meghan Chaiyasate
Grade 7:  Stephanie Dzialo, Oliver Kayi and Thomas Marvin
Grade 8:  Jessica Kennedy, Thomas Budnick and Tess Censoni

Middle division principal Brandon Jezdimir offered his praise.

“Congratulations! Your efforts are outstanding and your work effort is noticed, appreciated and celebrated,” he said. “Thanks for being Marist and for your ‘Ardent Love of Neighbor.’”
