Welcome to Notre Dame!

On behalf of the faculty, staff, students and alumni that comprise the Notre Dame family, I would like to welcome you to our community.

At Notre Dame, our goal is to create a safe learning environment where students can become the best versions of themselves both academically and spiritually. We also offer world-ranked robotics teams, an exemplary athletic program and an exceptional performing and visual arts program. In short, we strive to create well-balanced students, prepared for life.

If you choose Notre Dame for your child’s education, you are choosing a school that is widely regarded as one of the top Catholic schools in the nation. Notre Dame is the first Catholic school in the United States and the only Catholic school in Michigan to offer the prestigious International Baccalaureate program (IB) from junior kindergarten through 12th grade. Notre Dame also is a school that welcomes students of all backgrounds and faiths, as a diverse student body can create a much stronger sense of who we are as individuals and citizens of the world.

When you choose Notre Dame, you are choosing to join a community of like-minded parents. Parents who believe that faith is an important aspect of a child’s development and parents who want the best for their children. This helps to create a culture where it is “cool to be smart.”

While our academic reputation is second to none, it is important that parents realize that your children do not have to be “all-A” students to fit in at Notre Dame. In addition to our honors, advanced placement (AP) and IB courses, we offer a variety of traditional college-preparatory courses that work well for many students.

In August of 2018, we opened our new 26,000 sq. ft. science, art and technology wing that includes eight classrooms, three science labs, two art studios and a greenhouse. We believe that this investment into the academic experience for our students will further cement Notre Dame as a leader among private, independent Catholic schools in the Midwest.

At the end of the day, we are looking for families and students who want to work hard (whether in the classroom, the chapel, the stage or the athletic fields) to be the best version of themselves as possible. After all, isn’t that what God calls us to be?

We thank you for your interest in Notre Dame and hope that you will decide to become a member of our growing family.
