School robotics teams impress judges

Notre Dame’s Bees start season early by earning award at Monroe event.

On Saturday, Aug. 5, the Notre Dame robotics teams got an early start to the new season as students from all three divisions participated in an event held at the Monroe County Fair. More photos below.

On Saturday, the Notre Dame robotics teams got an early start to the new season as students from all three divisions participated in an event held at the Monroe County Fair.

Teams from the school’s lower division (Bumble Bees), middle division (Worker Bees) and the upper division (Killer Bees) were all under the “big tent” representing NDPMA well. In all, the Bees had five teams advance to the finals for their age group, and two of the teams won the "Judges Award.”

Other awards given out Saturday included the Excellence Award, Design Award, Teamwork Champion Award, Stem Project Award and the Sportsmanship Award.

Congratulations, Bees! What a great way to start the year!
