New Lower Division Classroom and Admin Buildings Connected

The connector between Notre Dame's new lower division classroom building and its administration/activity building has been roughed in with subflooring and roofing largely in place. This view from the Giddings Rd. side of the building shows where the school's main entrance will be located.

This week saw more progress on Notre Dame's new lower division building as crews poured cement and graded the parking lot to prepare for asphalt. On the building construction, the structure that will connect the administration building to the classroom building and serve as the main entrance has been roughed in and most of the windows installed with final completion scheduled soon.

A look down the hallway of the new classroom building. Classroom doors have been installed and the hallway awaits lockers, ceiling tile and floor tile.
Whiteboard installation is underway in the classrooms, which have all been painted.
Sidewalks and curbing for the new lower division are poured and the grading of the parking lot is nearly complete.

Electrical and plumbing work continues and the school's heating and cooling units are all in place. Painting of the classroom interiors and hallway also is complete and today the ceiling of the activity room in the admin building also was painted.

According to Kevin Maiden from IMS, which is the company managing the project, everything is "going smoothly," on schedule, and the school will be open for the first day of classes on August 22.
