Former Notre Dame teachers and staffers get together for lunch and memories

A number of former teachers and staffers from Harper Woods Notre Dame got together on May 12 to reminisce about 20254 Kelly Road and the students and teachers who used to populate the hallways of the former Notre Dame.

Dolores Lynch, who worked in the NDHS business office, was joined by her husband and math teacher Dennis Lynch, former alumni director and P.E. teacher Ken Parent, administrative assistant Cindi Kelly, religion teacher Sr. Alice Kotwick, and English teacher Merrie Gay Ayrault at local east-side watering hole Gilbert's Lodge in Saint Clair Shores.

After more than 50 years as a Marist-run high school for boys, Notre Dame was closed by the Archdiocese of Detroit in 2005.
