Thierry Collet, Paris, France-based Dassault Systèmes' vice president, Global Academia and Education, was on hand at Pontiac Notre Dame Prep yesterday to honor the school as a leader in the U.S. for the utilization of Dassault's V6 PLM software. ND Prep is the only high school in the U.S. receiving this honor.
"Dassault Systèmes is proud to count your institution among advance users of our PLM suite of software within a large global of academic community," Collet said. "With this award, I am pleased to inform you that we are launching a worldwide initiative designed to leverage your efforts in providing your students with the most up-to-date competences in digital product innovation."
This initiative, called “Dassault Systèmes Academy Member Program,” designates educational institutions who comply with a set of simple criteria.
Benefits of this program include the promotion of its members by Dassault Systèmes on Internet and through other media as well as a right to use and display a distinctive mark, the “Academy Member Label.” An official plaque and a certificate will be provided to members.
Criteria to benefit from this label have been designed to certify publicly that your institution provides students with credible opportunities to build their skills through formal courses. Based on our knowledge of your PLM V6 activities, we believe that your school/universities/department is eligible.
