Notre Dame Prep sophomore James Pillot discusses his school, his future and the innovative Student Ambassador program in a video posted below.
The ambassadors program, which was started almost two years ago by the Notre Dame admissions department, includes 38 young men and women from the school’s upper division who have been tasked with helping to bring the message and mission of NDPMA to prospective students and families.
Nominated as student “ambassadors” by teachers and administrators, and ultimately chosen by the admissions department, these 38 sophomores, juniors and seniors are “responsible for projecting and fostering a warm and welcoming atmosphere for anyone interested in Notre Dame, which could be both on or off campus,” according to the program application.
Pillot may be one of the younger members of the 'ambassadors,' but he's already got a good handle on where he's going in life. Check out the video and look for the soon-to-be-published January-February 2014 Blarney Stone for more on the ambassadors as well as articles on new technology and a "singing engineer" at U-M.
