The second series of Parent Workshops, presented by Notre Dame's middle division, is planned for January 10 and January 15. The first sessions were held November 15 and November 20 and were conducted by Kim Smith, who is a counselor in the middle division. Smith will also host the second series in January. The January 10 workshop will be held during the day with the time to be determined and on January 15, it will be held at 7 p.m.
Topics included in the last session were: The Teen Brain Development, Failure as a Motivator, Parenting Styles, Communication Skills, Use of I-Statements, and Quality Family Time Ideas. The goal of the Parent Workshops is to explore topics and share ideas as parents navigate their challenging jobs as parents. All are welcome.
