Notre Dame VEX IQ robotics teams rule the field at a competition held this past Saturday.
Notre Dame's VEX IQ teams, comprised of students in grades 3 through 6, competed at an event on Saturday at Peck Elementary School in Warren. Three separate teams from Notre Dame — #3333B (3rd/4th grade boys); #3333Q (5th grade boys/girls); and #3333Z (6th grade girls).
Teams #3333Z and #3333Q led the pack nearly the entire day, with #3333Q winning the skills award and second place overall at the event as well as the judges award. Team #3333Z won the entire event, which qualifies them for the Michigan State Championship to be held Feb. 16-17 at Charlotte Middle School in Charlotte, Mich. Team #3333Z also placed 4th in skills on Saturday. Team #3333B finished 2nd in skills and 4th overall on Saturday.
