Admissions process for next year continues to make good progress
The Notre Dame Preparatory School and Marist Academy admissions department recently printed new posters as part of their continuing outreach to potential Notre Dame students.
Primarily geared toward eighth graders in the area considering high schools, Dean of Admissions Kathleen Offer said they were looking for something to give to the kids when they attend the “8th Grade Sneak Peak,” which happened last month at the school and is planned for every November going forward.
“I think a poster to fit in the students’ lockers would be ideal as these eighth graders consider ND Prep for high school,” she said.
Offer recruited current ND Prep ninth-graders Gretel Keller and Brendan Weaver as models for the posters. She wanted to convey visually a couple of typical ninth graders at Notre Dame Prep and Keller and Weaver certainly fit the bill, she said.
Offer also said that her department continues to see outstanding applicants to all three divisions of Notre Dame.
“We are pleased with the number of students who have initiated—and in many cases already completed—the admissions process at all three divisions of the school," she said. "More importantly, we continue to be impressed by the quality of these students. Every day we receive more records and applications from young men and women who are outstanding scholars, athletes, artists, leaders and faithful servants. Without reservation we believe that the students coming our way will strengthen Notre Dame according to our mission.”
