New wing gets floors today and the protection of a few saints.
On an advanced tour of the interior of the new science, art and technology wing today, school corporate president Fr. Leon Olszamowski, s.m., got a chance to view the new concrete flooring as it was being poured.
His main mission today, however, was to strategically place a number of religious and saints' medals into the still-wet cement to help ensure the facility will carry the proper blessings.
According to Olszamowski, among the medals "buried" today were those of St. Michael, St. Pio, St. Peter, St. Teresa of Calcutta, the Holy Family and one for the Guardian Angel.
The new wing has been sealed from the outside weather with temporary windows and is now heated to facilitate the build-out of all of the interior features, walls and floors.
Take a look below at more construction photos of the interior of the new wing. More information on the entire "March on to Victory" project is here.
