Five Notre Dame choir members participated in a district solo and ensemble festival last weekend with all receiving either a superior or excellent rating for their work.
Seniors Mary Lund and Brittany Johnson, junior Cara Bonanni and freshmen Laura Lund and Tessa Masgoudi sang classical repertoire for collegiate judges at Howell High School.
Johnson received a superior rating for solo, Mary and Laura Lund received a superior rating for a duet, and Mary Lund, Laura Lund, Masgoudi and Bonanni all received excellent ratings for solos.
All five entries have been invited to the state solo and ensemble festival in March. The NDP choral program is a member of the Michigan School Vocal Music Association, which sponsors a variety of district and state wide festivals each year. NHP choirs and soloists participate in many of these events each season.
