The Notre Dame Prep cheer team starts strong today and wins the MHSAA Regional 6-3 held at Davison High School. The Fighting Irish scored 781.08, which is the highest cheer score in school history. The team now heads to the DeltaPlex Arena in Grand Rapids next Saturday to defend their state championship.
Last year, the Fighting Irish cheer team won the MHSAA Division 3 Competitive Cheer state championship in Grand Rapids with a score of 764.04, finishing first over Comstock Park.
Also, today it was announced that Notre Dame’s coach, Beth Campbell, earned regional coach of the year honors, the second year in a row for Campbel.
