Notre Dame Alum Gives Keynote at Veterans’ Convention

bonior-vva-wsNotre Dame High School alum (1963) David E. Bonior gave the keynote address last month at the 16th National Convention of The Vietnam Veterans of America, which took place in Jacksonville, Fla.,  August 13-17.

Over 800 delegates and guests attended the opening ceremonies as former U.S. Congressman Bonior spoke to over 800 delegates from across the country. Bonior served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Bonior, who in 1985 published a book called, "The Vietnam Veteran: A History of Neglect," is also the man responsible for giving the Vietnam Veterans of America organization its founding principal: "Never again shall one generation of veterans abandon another."
