Notre Dame's men's and women's cross country team participated in the fifth annual Golden Grizzly High School Invite last Friday, August 30. The men's varsity team placed 14th out of 25 schools. Sophomore Nathan Mylenek (17:18) brought home a medal for the Irish by finishing 15th overall. Freshman Brendan Fraser (18:18), sophomore Aidan Shurig (19:25), and senior Nathan Rutila (19:28) also performed well for the Irish.
The women's team placed 11th overall with junior Lauren McGrath (20:52) the top finisher for the Irish. She medaled, finishing 11th overall. Senior Jamie Hanson (22:44), junior Christine Sheer (23:06), and junior Hunter Williams (23:08) also ran well for the Irish.
