Art Club
Moderator: Ms. Zajdel
Meetings: Tuesday 3-4pm

Students will be able to extend their interests in Visual Arts.  Art Club offers students to create in a variety of mediums and advanced techniques.  Offered only to the 6th grade.  Will take the up to the first 15 students.  Art Club is offered per semester, starting with a new group after the new year.


E-Club (Environmental Club)
Moderators: TBD
Meetings: Friday during lunch

For students interested in nature, outdoor education, or environmental issues. Activities involve Earth Day celebration, recycling in the Middle Division, and discussions of local environmental issues.


Forensics Club (4N6, for short)
Moderators: Ms. Schmidt
Meetings: Tuesday during lunch

Students can participate in meetings only,  compete with other middle schools students  at tournaments in a variety of events in speech, interp, and debate.


Gamers Unplugged
Moderator: Mr. Atcho
Meetings: After School

For 6th, 7th, or 8th grade students looking for a fun atmosphere to "unplug" from technology and connect with friends through a variety of card and board games to build community through teamwork and collaborative strategies.  


Girls Who Code
Moderator:  Mrs. York/Microsoft personnel
Meetings:  After school

(Girls only) Participate in fun activities to learn the principles of coding.


Michigan Youth in Government (MYIG)
Moderator: Mrs. Schmidt
Meetings: Tuesdays during lunch

Government simulation including compromise, policy, and congressional debate for students.  Three-day event in Lansing at the Capitol Building (11/18-20).  Fee applies.


Middle School Musical
Moderators: Mrs. Scott
Meetings: October – February

The middle school musical offers student thespians the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of drama (i.e. acting, set design, stage crew, lighting).  Each year we do an hour-long musical that is performed in a 600-seat auditorium.


National Junior Honor Society
Moderator: Mrs. Loria
Meetings: As Announced in school

Membership is by invitation only and is based on first semester GPA’s. Induction of new 7th grade members for our school occurs in May. Active Members are typically 8th grade only. However transfer memberships in good standing are accepted.


Science Club
Moderator: Mrs. Cross
Meetings: after school

Science club focuses on a variety of aspects in science and engineering. Students will complete a variety of experiments focusing on using science equipment and augmenting the normal curriculum with fun experiments. Fee applies.


Ski Club
Moderators: A.Kayi

Both ND Prep and Marist Academy novice and experienced skiers enjoy skiing at PIne Knob ski resort (weather permitting) on Thursdays after school.


Student Council
Moderators: Mrs. Yauch
Meetings: Thursdays during lunch

Students will enjoy the challenge and excitement of planning student activities and strengthening their leadership abilities.


VEX IQ Robotics Team
Moderator: Mrs. Palardy
Meetings: Wednesday after school

The 6th and 7th grade Middle School Robotics Team uses the VEX IQ Robotics Competition platform.  Students work in small teams to design, build, program and compete with their own robot.  Students attend 3 competitions against other Michigan schools and can qualify for the VEX IQ Michigan Championship and the VEX IQ World Championship.


VEX EDR Robotics Team
Moderator:  Mr. Palardy
Meetings: Tues/Thurs after-school, Sat AM

The 8th grade Middle School Robotics Team uses the VEX EDR competition platform. Details are the same as VEX IQ.


Yearbook
Moderators: Ms. Thomas
Meetings: Monday during lunch

Yearbook offers students an opportunity to get involved with activities going on within the school and school community. Throughout the year students will be taking pictures, using their creativity, and putting together the school yearbook.
