Luke Mullis, who will be a senior at Notre Dame in the fall, was named by USA Cycling to the 12-member (nine men, three women) 2015 Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) Junior Track World Championships roster. His sister, Danielle, who graduated Notre Dame in 2014, also was named to the team, which will represent the United States and compete in the annual race August 19-23 in Astana, Kazakhstan.
The four-day competition will crown 10 men’s and nine women’s junior world champions. UCI is the world governing body for sports cycling and oversees international competitive cycling events. It is based in Aigle, Switzerland.
Danielle Mullis, who was a valedictorian in Notre Dame’s Class of 2014, currently attends Furman University in South Carolina.
