Ryan S. Reeves, M.D., a 1989 graduate of Notre Dame, was named December 1 to Texas Monthly magazine’s annual list of “super doctors.”
Reeves, who is a physical medicine and rehabilitation physician for Spine Team Texas, a spine center specializing in the treatment of neck and back pain based in Southlake, Texas, was honored after a rigorous, multi-step review of physicians practicing in Texas.
“What makes the Super Doctors list such a significant achievement is the detailed selection criteria,” said Mark Hood, CEO of Spine Team Texas. “Not only are physicians vetted for professional accomplishments, they must also have attained peer recognition during the period of time they’ve been in practice.”
See a recent video below of Reeves appearing on the “Good Morning, Texas” TV show.
Reeves’ inclusion on the Super Doctors list this year follows his presence on the Rising Star™ Super Doctor list in both 2013 and 2014. Rising Star candidates are evaluated over 10 areas including fellowships, professional activities, leadership positions, board certifications, honors and awards and have been fully licensed to practice for approximately 10 years or fewer. While approximately 5 percent of the physicians within Texas are named to Super Doctors, no more than 2-1/2 percent are named to the Rising Stars list. Reeves also recently received the distinguished Castle-Connelly “Top Doctors” nomination by his peers.
Reeves is a fellowship-trained physician, specializing in the nonsurgical relief of back pain at Spine Team Texas. He completed his fellowship at Orthopaedic Spine Specialists and has also published articles in peer-reviewed journals as well as textbook chapters on interventional spine procedures. He completed his residency at Ohio State University and his internship at Detroit Medical Center after obtaining his degree in biology from Wayne State University. He sees patients at the Southlake and Fort Worth-Alliance clinics.
