Notre Dame Prep's Quiz Bowl team A today earned the CHSL Tournament Championship as thirteen NDP students competed in the first-ever Catholic League Quiz Bowl tournament at Detroit Catholic Central High School.
A total of 14 teams, including Divine Child, Mercy, St. Mary's, Catholic Central, Cabrini and St. Michael competed. In the finals, the Notre Dame team A, with Richie Frost, Andrew Olejniczak, Halaina Jimenez, Calvin Burns, Anthony VanDieren and Sean Higgins, defeated the Divine Child team A.
Also competing and finishing 6th overall was the NDP team B, with Christopher VanDieren, Jessica Jimenez, Tommy Frost, Clint Ivory, Alex Kocheril, Daniel DiCaro and Alex Blanchett.
Individual prize winners were Richie Frost (2nd) and Anthony VanDieren (4th), with Christopher VanDieren in the top ten in 8th place.
