Melissa York, currently a teacher in Notre Dame's middle division, has accepted the position of Technology Integration Specialist for Notre Dame Preparatory School and Marist Academy.
York came to Notre Dame originally from the Pinckney, Mich., school district, which is a 1:1 district. Starting in January, she will continue to teach four sections and for three periods each day, she will be assisting teachers in all divisions with integrating technology into their curriculum.
The position will become full-time next fall, but York will continue to teach one or two classes. Melissa has a master's degree in Educational Technology from Michigan State University and a B.S degree in elementary education from Oakland University.
