Notre Dame Prep and Marist Academy 2015 Fall Athletic Tryout Information
NDPMA Fall Athletic Parent Meeting is Thursday, August 13st @ 7:00pm for ALL sports and levels

Wednesday, August 12th is the first official day of practice for all sports except Cheer and Dance, which began in the Spring, and Football, which begins on Monday, August 10th. All sessions are at the Pontiac Main campus unless otherwise noted. All athletes must be registered at NDPMA in order to participate. (Non-Marist athletes seeking to fill openings for our MA programs please contact Aaron Crouse (acrouse@ndpma.org, 248-373-9647). Athletes should be in compliance with the NDPMA dress code. Please come dressed for tryouts or use the NDPMA locker rooms – DO NOT change at the athletic facility.
All athletes are required to have a physical dated on or after April 15, 2015 on file in the ATHLETIC OFFICE in order to tryout at least 24 hours in advance.

NDP JV and Varsity Boys & Girls Cross Country
There are no cuts in this program. Practice begins on Wednesday August 12th from 3:30 to 5:00. Please meet at the Grimaldi Athletic Center.

There are no cuts in this program. Conditioning begins on Wednesday August 12th from 5:00 to 6:00. Please meet at the Grimaldi Athletic Center.

NDP JV and Varsity Football
There are no cuts in this program. Varsity practice begins at 8:00 am and JV practice begins at 3:30 on Monday August 10th. Varsity players should bring a lunch and a drink each day.

Marist Academy JV and Varsity Football
There are no cuts in this program. Practice for the first week of the season is from 3:00-5:00 beginning Monday August 10th. Please meet near the baseball field. Practice on Thursday August 13th will be from 5:30-7:00 due to the NDPMA Parent Meeting.

NDP JV and Varsity Girls Golf
Tryouts will run from Wednesday August 12th through Friday August 14th at Crystal Lake Golf Course from 7:30 am to 10:00 am. Please arrive no later than 7:00 am. Players will compete in a 27-hole qualifying tournament. The results of the tournament will determine the player’s position on the team. The tryout fee is $35 per golfer (student accounts will be charged – athletes do not need to pay at tryouts). Participating athletes can expect green fees throughout the season totaling approximately $150 (billed to student accounts). Charges are based upon membership numbers at the beginning of the season. Athletes that are injured/quit are still subject to pay team fees.

NDP Boys Tennis
Tryouts take place from Wednesday August 12th through Friday August 14th (Saturday August 15th is a weather makeup date) from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at the NDP Tennis Courts.

NDP Freshman, JV, and Varsity Volleyball
Tryouts will run from Wednesday August 12th through Friday August 14th. There will be two sessions each day, one from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and another from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Players should plan to attend both sessions. (Bring a lunch as you will not be able to leave campus). Team selections will take place after the Friday morning session. First individual team practices will begin Friday afternoon.

Marist Academy Grades 4-8 Volleyball
Tryouts and team placement will run from Wednesday August 12th through Friday August 14th. There are 3 teams at both the 4-6 and 7-8 grade levels provided there are enough coaches for theses teams to be added. Grades 4-6 will tryout from 4:00-6:00 in the Grimaldi Athletic Center and grades 7-8 will tryout from 4:00-6:00 in the NDP Main Gym.

NDP Girls Swimming & Diving
There are no cuts in this program. Practice begins Wednesday August 12th from 7:30 am to 10:00 am at the Beachwood Recreation Association. Participating athletes can expect pool rental fees throughout the season totaling approximately $300 (billed to student accounts). Charges are based upon membership numbers at the beginning of the season. Athletes that are injured/quit are still subject to pay team fees.

Tryouts will take place Wednesday August 12th through Friday August 14th at Kozyra Alumni Field. Times will be Wednesday from 10:30-12:00 AND 6:30-9:00, Thursday 4:30-6:30, and Friday 6:00-9:00.

Tryouts for Boys and Girls grades 5/6 and 7/8 will take place Wednesday August 12th through Friday August 14th from 10:30-12:30 each day. Players should meet by the NDP Baseball field. Anyone interested in trying out should email Coach Fields.
