Notre Dame Alum On Oprah Special

Notre Dame alum Dave Coulier ('77), who starred in the once-popular sitcom "Full House," was among television celebrities giving updates on what they've been up to lately on the premiere episode of “Oprah: Where Are They Now?” that aired June 8 on the Oprah Winfrey Network.

As Uncle Joey on "Full House," Coulier was a mainstay on American TVs for eight seasons in the late 80s and 90s. He currently is touring comedy clubs in North America. Last night, Coulier was in the Detroit area in a performance to benefit the St. John Hospital and Medical Center Guild.

Two years ago, Coulier came to Notre Dame in Pontiac to perform in a special fundraiser to benefit the Fr. John Bryson, s.m., Memorial Scholarship Fund. Bryson was a Marist priest who served at Notre Dame High School for nearly 50 years. He died in May of 2011 at the age of 87.

Coulier grew up in St. Clair Shores and currently resides in southern California.
