Admissions road trip

Notre Dame to visit local Catholic grade schools to discuss high school opportunities with students and parents.

Notre Dame’s admissions team and select student representatives will be visiting seven area Catholic grade schools during the next several weeks as part of the Archdiocese of Detroit-sponsored Regional Catholic High School Information Nights.

Kathleen Offer, who is Notre Dame's dean of admissions, says the school visits are a great opportunity for prospective students and parents to learn more about Notre Dame Prep and its various programs.

NOTE: Notre Dame's 2018 fall open house, scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 4, will feature the school’s new science, art and technology wing and the number-1 Catholic high school in the state. More info here.

"Our goal is to stand out among our peer high schools by talking about what distinguishes us, namely our Marist charism and our mission," Offer said. "We know we will be meeting scores of students and parents who are interested in continuing their Catholic education, and we'll be working hard to attract them to Notre Dame for all the right reasons.”

Though the info nights will take place at local Catholic schools, students from all schools are welcome to attend.

“I think I can speak for all my colleagues across the Archdiocese when I say how hopeful we are to appeal to students from all educational backgrounds,” Offer said. “We are confident that we can make a transformative impact in their lives."
