Students in upcoming holiday show help raise money for ALS
Notre Dame sophomore Jessica Pike will appear on WDIV-TV’s Live In The D program this Thursday, Dec. 11.
Pike is a member of Rochester Hills-based Pointe Academy Dance Center and will be dancing on the TV show with other members of the dance school to help promote their upcoming 7th Annual Holiday Performance on December 14 at Oakland University.
Pike said that the holiday performance will once again raise funds for research and care for people with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), or Lou Gehrig’s Disease. “Since 2007, the Pointe Academy Dance Center has raised more than $35,000 for ALS,” she said.
Other Notre Dame students who dance with Pike at Pointe Academy and will be performing at the December 14 show include Maria Minaudo (12), Katlin Griden (11), Alyssa Huth (10), Alaina Black (9) and Eve Juliani (9). The girls also are members of the Notre Dame Prep dance team.
Thursday’s Live In The D program is scheduled for 11 a.m. to noon. The holiday performance at Oakland University starts at 3 p.m. More information is here.
