One of Notre Dame’s newest alums talks about the school’s palpable sense of community as well as the support she’s received while a student.
Gabriella Gonzales, who graduated from Notre Dame Prep last month as one of the school’s 28 valedictorians, said she is very excited about the changes coming in the school’s future, especially the new science, art and technology wing scheduled to be completed in about a year. But one thing she doesn’t want to see changed whenever she comes back to visit is the strong sense of family and community she’s experienced while a student at NDPMA.
Take a look and listen below, but first read a short summary of Gonzales’s accomplishments at NDPMA. . .
During her high school career, Gonzales was a member of the National Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, Action for Africa, Pre-Med Club, Kairos retreat leader, Cyber Seniors, Peer Leader coordinator, co-captain for varsity golf, receiving All-State Academic, Ski Team, receiving individual All-State Academic and played softball. Additionally, Gonzales volunteered with Crittenton Hospital, helped seniors citizens understand technology at Elmhurst Manor, tutored students at Rogers Elementary and served as program leader for a service project with Walton Charter Academy. Gonzales plans to attend the University of Michigan. She graduated from Notre Dame Prep with a grade point average of 4.453.
