A contemptuous theatre critic breaks his leg while on a lecture tour in the Midwest and is forced to stay a bit longer than expected at the home of his host family. The immutable house guest (a.k.a, Sheldon Whiteside) takes the term "make yourself at home" to new lengths as he drives his hosts through the roof, ultimately dominating the house with his laughable demands and his displeasing, assorted and wacky group friends.
This delightful adaptation of the George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart play, The Man Who Came to Dinner, which opened Thursday, April 6, in Notre Dame’s cafetorium, will most assuredly have theatre-goers rolling in the aisles and cracking up even after the show concludes.
