A four-minute video of time-lapse photography taken during the construction of Notre Dame's new lower division classroom building was edited together and released online. (see below) The footage begins with initial site preparation in March and ends with the parking lot paving and extensive landscaping completed ahead of the new school year.
On August 22, 167 students in junior kindergarten through fifth grade started the first full day of a new school year in their new 12-classroom building across the street from the main campus. Previously, Notre Dame students in the lower division were located in Waterford, about five miles away from the school's current location in Pontiac.
A dedication ceremony and Mass were held Sunday, August 18, to bless the new building before school started and a second blessing was conducted as part of Notre Dame's Grand Anniversary Celebration last month.
