At Notre Dame's 2016 Oktoberfest celebration held October 1 on the school's Pontiac campus, winning Super Raffle tickets were drawn from more than 40,000 tickets that were sold, netting the lucky winners big prizes.
Jackie and John Robbins, current Notre Dame parents of Michael, a freshman, and Thomas, a senior, picked up their $5,000 Super Raffle winnings on Oct. 14. Mark Zuccaro, a 1984 Notre Dame grad, also picked up his $2,500 winning check on Oct. 14.
The grand prize winner picked up the biggest check from Notre Dame on Oct. 7. Jeffrey Schiefer, current parent of Notre Dame students Deirdre, a sophomore, and Josef, a 7th grader, stopped by the school to accept his grand prize of $50,000 and pose for a photo with his children and wife, Ingrid. Congratulations, Jeff!
Schaefer was among this year’s winning ticket holders who earned payouts of $50,000, $10,000, $5,000, $2,500, or three $1,000 jackpots.

The net proceeds from the raffle—more than $400,000—will be used to help Notre Dame with financial aid, continuing technology upgrades for the students and other classroom enhancements.
