Three students from Notre Dame’s middle division performed in the Michigan Band and Orchestra Association (MSBOA) Middle School Honors Band at an event held on April 30 at Milford High School.
Guiseppe Fregoli (clarinet), Kate Dooley (alto sax), and Theresa Carrier (flute) were nominated as some of the top student-musicians at Notre Dame.
“The band was amazing and the friendships that were made that day will stay with our kids for a lifetime,” said Notre Dame’s Band Director Joe Martin.
The three Notre Dame students, who played with 124 middle-school students from 23 other schools in the region, were led by guest conductor Brian Topolewski, who has worked previously as band director at Grandville, East Grand Rapids, Hazel Park, Talawanda (OH), and Wyoming Park schools.
