Online interest in Notre Dame remains high as website traffic tops 1.2 million.
As the year 2017 comes to close today, it’s probably a good time to look back at another outstanding year of news at Notre Dame Preparatory School and Marist Academy. In reviewing the most popular stories in 2017 on the Notre Dame school website, a few things stand out.
News articles about student achievement dominated as more eyes viewed stories of individual or collective accomplishments, whether they were in the classroom, the art room, the stage or the playing field. Stories about school growth, especially in regards to bricks and mortar, also saw many readers in 2017.
In fact, one story in particular stood out among all of the more than 250 others. And that is when Notre Dame announced its campaign to build a new science, art and technology wing back in March.
Plus, not only did the school and its faculty, staff and students by nearly every measure have a stellar year overall once again in 2017, the website that represents Notre Dame online experienced very significant traffic, which speaks to the interest NDPMA continues to receive from both inside and outside our community.
Overall, NDPMA.org once again saw more than a million total page views during 2017 — actually 1,222,753 to date. This total traffic number does not include visits to Haiku or any other password-protected sites affiliated with the school or its website.
So what this means is that the Notre Dame community and all it represents continue to be highly sought after by those interested in a quality, Catholic and independent school education. It also means that a lot of the great things that our students, faculty and alumni are doing in Pontiac — and in the world — do not go unnoticed.
