Notre Dame Girls Soccer Claims First State Title

The Notre Dame Girls Varsity Soccer team claimed its first MHSAA state title in program history, scoring a goal in the final minute of regulation to force overtime before prevailing after eight rounds of a penalty kick shootout over Grand Rapids Forest Hills Northern. The Notre Dame Girls Varsity Soccer team made an early goal by Celia Gaynor stand up as the game-winner as the Irish defeated Marian 1-0 to advance to the MHSAA state finals. Irish Take Regional Title Over Fenton, Advance to Final Four

The Notre Dame Girls Varsity Soccer team used early goals in both halves to earn a 2-1 win over Fenton and advance to the MHSAA state semifinal round.
