NDP’s DePillo Named Strength and Conditioning All-American

Notre Dame senior Jake DePillo was named a 2015 All-American Athlete by the National Strength and Conditioning Association . This honor is given to a student-athlete who exhibits outstanding athletic and academic performance in addition to a dedication to strength and conditioning.  Notre Dame strength and conditioning coach Jake Siebert says that DePillo’s dedication in the weight room and drive to improve his athletic performance while maintaining a strong academic performance makes his an ideal model for NDP athletes and a deserving recipient of this award. Country Day, Cranbrook, ND Prep all advance to D3 state finals

BEVERLY HILLS — Pontiac Notre Dame Prep’s Julie Boniface and Hannah Preuss walked off the court after their last match Thursday feeling like heroes. Their win over top-seeded Cranbrook helped their team get to 18 points at the Division 3 regional at Detroit Country Day High School. That was enough to help the Irish earn a trip to the state finals on May 29-30. Their win also helped the host Yellowjackets earn a share of the regional title along with Cranbrook. Girls Tennis Qualifies for States

By reaching 18 points at the MHSAA tennis regional held at Detroit Country Day, the Notre Dame tennis team earned a spot at the MHSAA state meet.  Julie Boniface and Hannah Preuss took the first doubles championship, upsetting top-seeded Cranbrook and vaulting the Irish into a state finals appearance in the process.  Notre Dame reached the quarterfinals in all other events to earn points as well.  The MHSAA finals are May 29-30 in Holly, Fenton, and Grand Blanc.
