The Notre Dame Boys Swim and Dive team enjoyed a strong showing at the Oakland County Championship meet over the weekend.
Diver Alex Impellizerri started the two-day meet off right on Friday night by breaking his own school record for 11 dives with a score of 343.60, which was good for 5th overall in the county. Impellizzeri followed up his stellar diving performance with a personal-best 23.95 time as a member of the Irish 200 Freestyle Relay.
Rudy Aguilar-Fernandez once again shined a light as wide as Oakland County on the unbelievable season he is enjoying. Aguilar cruised to two individual Oakland County titles in the 200 Freestyle and 100 Freestyle; both in record setting times. Aguilar clocked a 1:39.93 in the 200 and a 45.71 in the 100, shattering the old County records of 1:40.40 and 45.88, respectively.
