Notre Dame was well-represented at the 41st annual Catholic High School League scholar-athlete recognition banquet held at DeCarlo Banquet and Conference Center this past Monday. Six Irish senior athletes were named as scholar-athlete award winners in their respective sports while several others were finalists. Julia Pagnucco (Girls Lacrosse), Elizabeth Swartz (Frank Connolly Award – Girls Basketball), Allison Kavanagh (Deloris Yager Award – Girls Swimming), Stephanie George (Cheerleading), Matthew Winiarski (John Shada Award – Football), and Ryan MacIntyre (Sam Madden Award – Boys Basketball) were all selected as award recipients by the CHSL for their outstanding achievements in scholarship, leadership, and athletics. Award finalists for Notre Dame included Emma Kowalkowski (Volleyball), Claire Bolden and Neil Kauffman (Track), Sarah Chick and Spencer Urban (Bowling), Julie Boniface and Shawn Potwardowski (Tennis), Katlin Gruden (Dance), Erika Wiest and Garrett Kremer (Soccer), Madeleine Fazio (Softball), Deema Ujayli and Alex Leonowicz (Cross Country), Taylor Hegbloom and Nick Raggio (Golf), Lili McLean and Clark Meek (Ski), Joe Kalas (Lacrosse), Brett Pieper (Baseball), Joe Agro (Wrestling), and Aidan Schurig (Swimming).
