Notre Dame Earns Spot in Regional Meet

Last Saturday, the Notre Dame Equestrian Team secured their third consecutive spot in the Regional Finals while battling wet and muddy conditions at the Armada County Fairgrounds. Once again, all seven riders on the team contributed valuable points throughout the day.

The Irish were led by Grace Parker, who won the Hunt Seat Over Fences class for the third consecutive meet. Cara DeFelice, Oliva Urban, Kendall Lance, and Collette Bockrath all had strong showings and were too much for the other teams to overcome. The fantastic freshman due of Madison Fraser and Lilly Urban rose to the occasion and performed like upperclassmen with Urban pulling a second place in Hunt Seat Fitting and Showing and with Fraser netting a first place in the challenging Saddle Seat Equation class.

The Irish will compete next at the Regional meet held at the Ingham County Fairgrounds where they will battle the best teams in Southern Michigan for a chance to go to the State Finals the second year in a row.
