The Notre Dame Boys Varsity Soccer team battled back to earn a 2-2 draw against Lapeer.
The Lightning took a 1-0 lead into halftime and added another goal early in the second half to take a 2-0 advantage.
The Irish answered quickly as Jeronimo Ballesty cut the deficit to 2-1. Minutes later, Andrew Marsheh was awarded a penalty kick and found the back of the net to knot the score at 2-2 with 35 minutes to play.
Nether team could get the go-ahead marker from that point on as Joshua Reid made several key stops for Notre Dame to preserve the tie. The Irish will be back in action next Tuesday against Imlay City.
