Notre Dame Varsity Volleyball improved to 44-10-2 with a win over Cranbrook Kingswood in the MHSAA Division Two District Semifinal 25-11, 25-17, 25-12. The Irish will play stat- ranked Detroit Country Day, who defeated Clawson 25-19, 25-10, 25-10, in the District Final. This marks the 25th straight season that the Irish have advanced to the District title match.
Notre Dame got contributions from multiple players on the way to the victory. Defensively, Olivia Kowalkowski served up a team-high 14 points, including two aces, had seven serve receptions and 10 digs. Josie Bloom kicked in 13 points, four aces, 15 digs and eight assists while Aly Berent served three aces on her way to eight points and 13 digs.
On the offensive side of the ball Aly Borellis had nine kills, four blocks, five points, two aces, eight digs and 20 assists. Theresa Carrier had nine kills and two blocks, Sophia Sudzina contributed eight kills and senior middle Emily Mohr had six kills, four blocks and four digs.
