Irish Start Season With Win Over Troy

The Notre Dame Boys Varsity Lacrosse team started off the 2019 season with an exciting come-from-behind 4-3 win Troy High School. The Colts played a ball control style game which limited the offensive opportunities for the Irish. With only six shots on goal the entire night, the Irish made the most of their chances, scoring on four of them.

Max Stowe led the Irish with two goals and one assist, including the game-winner with under three minutes to go. Also finding the back of the net were Eric Gaynor (one goal) and Logan Currie (one goal and one assist). The Irish were led defensively by Andrew Romzick (three ground balls), Charlie Morris (three ground balls) and Michael Robbins (one ground ball). Antonio Popp had a great night between the pipes with nine saves.

The Irish will look to go 2-0 this Saturday as they host Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard.
