The Notre Dame Girls Varsity Swim team kicked off their 2019 season by placing 7th at the Mercy Marlin Invitational.
Highlights amongst a tough field of competition was a fifth place finish for the 400 Medley Relay team of Alina Stanczak, Josie Honoway, Lindsey Creek, and Libby Stacey.
The Irish also earned a fifth place finish in the 400 Freestyle Relay led by the team of Stacey, Stanczak, Elizabeth Gruden and Creek. Stanczak achieved a state cut for the 100 backstroke, and many others swimmers also posted personal bests.
