Irish Split Double Dual With Adams, Bloomfield

The Notre Dame Varsity Volleyball team split a pair of matches in a double dual. In the opening match, the Irish defeated Rochester Adams 25-17, 27-29, 25-22, 25-18. 

Olivia Kowalkowski led the defense with 20 service receptions and 29 digs while Josie Bloom scored 11 serving points, including an ace, and collected 11 digs. Aly Borellis scored nine points with three aces, nine kills and 21 digs. Sophia Sudzina and Theresa Carrier had eight kills each and Bianca Giglio added seven kills  Emily Mohr scored 10 points, including three aces.  

In the second match up Notre Dame fell to Bloomfield 23-25, 25-20, 25-16, 16-25, 11-15.

Kowalkowski again led the defenders with 26 digs and nine points, Bloom added 13 digs, nine service points and an ace. Mohr was strong from the service line again, scoring 12 points, including four aces,  to go with a team-high six blocks. Borellis collected 18 kills while Sudzina and Carrier added nine each and Giglio finished with seven kills.
