The Notre Dame Varsity Football team moved to 6-1 and earned a spot as a playoff qualifier following a 46-0 shutout win over Milford.
Julian Lee got the Irish on the board on their opening drive with a 27-yard field goal. Later in the first quarter, Ryan Cueny scored on a 41-yard reception from Jacob Bendtsen to put Notre Dame up 10-0.
The Irish took advantage of red zone opportunities all evening, scoring three more times in the first half. Bendtsen scored on a one yard run, Connor Gaeschke scored on runs of one and three yards and Ethan Johnson caught a four-yard touchdown pass from Bendtsen as Notre Dame took a commanding 39-0 lead into halftime.
Joshua Samuels provided the only offense of the second half, scoring on a two-yard run as the entire half was played under a running clock scenario.
Defensively, Gaeschke and Caleb Webb both had interceptions for the Irish while Andrew Philippart and Trevor Tuttle recovered a fumble.
Bendtsen threw for 145 yards on the night while Gaeschke ran for 117. Clayton Bone led all receivers with six catches for 94 yards, also adding 37 yards on the ground.
