The Notre Dame Varsity Volleyball team moved to 46-10-2 on the season as they downed Marysville 25-11, 25-11, 25-19 in the MHSAA Division Two Regional Semifinal. The Irish used a balance attack to keep the Vikings at bay with seven different players recording kills.
Aly Borellis had a double-double with 15 kills, 21 assists, eight digs, two blocks and nine service points, including a pair of aces. Sophia Sudzina had another strong match at the net with 11 kills, two blocks and four digs. Seniors Theresa Carrier and Emily Mohr added six and four kills respectively. Lily Chase kicked in four kills while Abby Nellis added three kills.
On the defensive side Josie Bloom racked up 10 digs, had 13 serve receptions without an error, and served four points with two of them as aces. Olivia Kowalkowski added 10 digs to her team leading totals and served 12 points with two aces. Ally Berent was close behind with nine digs, six points and two aces.
