Hockey Gets Shutout of Holt at MSU

Notre Dame Hockey extended its unbeaten streak to 10 games with a 4-0 shutout win over Holt High School in a game played at Munn Ice Arena on the campus of Michigan State. Luke Newman gave the Irish a 1-0 lead in the first period with a goal just over 6 minutes into the game.  Ryan Genord added a powerplay goal in the second period and Danny Caton scored on a breakaway to put the Irish up 3-0 after two periods of play.  Genord added his second goal of the game in the third period to round out the scoring.  Robert Kowalczyk, Michael Conroy, and Grant Williams all split time in goal to record the shutout for Notre Dame.
