The Notre Dame Girls Varsity Golf team placed 3rd at the MHSAA DIII Regional Tournament held at West Shore Golf Course on Wednesday and earned a spot in the state finals for the second consecutive season.
Notre Dame shot a team total of 388, besting 4th place Grosse Ile by 9 strokes to earn the final team qualification spot.
Dani Staskowski was the overall individual tournament champion, firing a 75 to lead the Irish. Danielle Wagner (100), Sabrina Fitzgerald (102) and Julia Wintermantel (111) also scored for Notre Dame and each placed in the top-35 for the tournament. Cranbrook took the team title with a 349 with Country Day coming is second at 355.
The MHSAA DIII Finals will be held at Forest Akers West on the Campus of Michigan State.
