The Notre Dame Competitive Cheer team continued its perfect start to the 2015-16 season, taking the Comstock Park Invitational to claim its third straight competition to start the year. The invite featured five of the 2014-15 Division III state finalists as the Irish were joined by Richmond, host Comstock Park, Paw Paw, and Howard City Tri County on Saturday. Notre Dame got off to an early strong start, posting a 234.5 to lead 2015 state runner-up Richmond, who posted a 230.2. In the second round, the Irish once again posted the highest score of all teams in attendance, earning a 226.42 to take just over a 5 point lead into the final round. In the third round, Notre Dame posted a 312.3 to close out the win with a final score of 773.22, beating out Richmond who finished with a 766.28. The Irish, currently ranked #1 in division III, will travel to the Cougar Spirit Invite on Saturday hosted by Rochester Hills Stoney Creek.
