The Notre Dame Competitive Cheer team celebrated a first place finish at the Lake Orion Invitational on Saturday.
Notre Dame held over a seven-point lead following round one, scoring a 231.6 to lead Monroe Jefferson (224.5), Flat Rock (219.2), and Armada (216.6). Round two was more of the same as the Irish widened their lead, earning a score of 224.14 for a cumulative total of 455.74. Notre Dame closed out a clear victory with a strong round three, scoring an impressive 315.4 for a final total of 771.14. Second place Monroe Jefferson finished 31.04 points behind at 740.10, Flat Rock closed out the day in third at 709.20.
The Irish compete again on February 11 at the Deltaplex in Grand Rapids where they will take on Division 3 schools from across the state.
