Note Dame Varsity Volleyball (43-5) defeated Father Gabriel Richard 25-16, 25-13, 25-19 in Ann Arbor. Natalie Risi put down 18 kills and scored seven points, including an ace, while fellow Miss Volleyball finalist Maddy Chinn had 13 kills, seven service points, an ace and 10 digs. Maria Famularo and Aly Borellis each had seven kills, seven points and an ace. The win was Notre Dame’s 33rd straight victory.
For only the second time in school history, the Notre Dame Equestrian team advanced to the state finals after a cold and wet regional championship. The three day event in Mason saw the top teams in the area battle in multiple disciplines. The Notre Dame Girls Cross Country team continued to show the running world that they are serious about defending last year’s regional title by placing second at the Midwest Catholic Championship in Dayton, Ohio. It was a strong team effort with four girls placing in the top-20, earning the Team Runner-Up trophy in the silver (small school) division.
