The Notre Dame Boys Varsity Golf team claimed its second consecutive MHSAA Regional Title. firing a team score of 312 at Fieldstone Golf Course to best second-place Cranbrook and third-place Orchard Lake St. Marys who also advanced to the MHSAA Final.
Toby Roth finished with a 74 to place second overall individually while Brian Marx (77) and Eric Marx (78) took fifth and sixth respectively. Brockton English rounded out the scoring effort with an 83.
“With a 74, 77 and 78, those are really good scores for us right now,” said head coach Mike Erskine, who has now won a regional championship in each of his first two years at Notre Dame. “This is a group, in my mind, that is capable of playing really good golf. This has been the best we’ve played all year".
The MHSAA State Finals will be played next weekend at Michigan State University Forest Akers West.
