Big Fourth Quarter Lifts DLS Over Irish

The Notre Dame Boys Varsity Basketball team started the season with a home 68-47 loss at the hands of Catholic League powerhouse Warren De La Salle. The game was back-and-forth in the first half with each team having the lead.

The Pilots ended the half with a run to go into the break up 34-24.  Notre Dame came out playing their best basketball of the night in the third quarter. The Irish cut the 10 point lead down to two and De La Salle was forced to call a time out. However, the Irish were never able to close the gap any closer than two points and turnovers proved costly as the Pilots closed the third quarter on a run that carried over to the forth quarter.

The Irish were led in scoring by senior captain Ethan Johnson (12 points) and junior captain Jacob Anderson (18 points). Jacob Bendtsen and Jon Risi each chipped in with six points each.
