Notre Dame Varsity Volleyball used a balanced attack to win their 11th straight district title and 20th overall by defeating Lutheran North 25-4, 25-14, 25-18. The Irish, now 59-2-2, defended their home court by winning all 13 matches this season without dropping a set.
Taylor Raiola served up 16 points, including 6 aces, 6 kills and 9 digs. Natalie Risi kicked in 13 points, 5 aces, 5 kills and 9 digs. Senior captain Gabi Shilling added 7 kills and 4 blocks while Morgan Verheyen matched her with 7 kills and had 2 blocks. Maddy Chinn led all attackers by hitting .500 for the match with 15 kills, Maria Famularo had 11 digs and Lauren Burnick had 19 assists.
